Stock SS and RS wheel color question.

I know they have polished and midnight silver colors. Are there any other variations of the silver color besides those two?
A friend said they had a "painted" silver color but I thought he was probably thinking of the midnight silver.

Here's a couple of pics. What color do they look like?

Is the silver painted? Is the midnight silver painted?
And is there an easy way to tell the difference?

Silver is painted, its the normal silver you see on anything, Midnight is painted silver but darker, Polished is polished metal

The reason I'm asking is I inherited a rear set of wheels. I know they aren't polished because I have those on my SS. But these looked painted with maybe a touch of grey highlighting along the spokes.

probably the easiest wal to see them IN PERSON to campare, and that would be for you to find a LT that has the RS package....the only options, from the factory when it comes to LT's with the RS Pkg, were MIDNIGHT SILVER, or the optional POLISHED. if they are in fact the wheels that came on the car, they would be one of those two wheels, compare one of yours to one of those.

Sterling Silver is the paint color on the non-RS, lighter than the Midnight Silver on the RS

The are ALL clear coated. Polished can not " be polished" unless you remove the clear coat.

The polished are also lighter in color on the back side of the wheel ( behind the spokes)

Thank you Sir Nuke. It is in fact an LT model with the RS package that these wheels came off of. I thought they might be midnight silver but wasn't sure.

Once again thank you everyone on this forum for all of your knowledge.
