A Warning About Making ANY Change on your order.

I wrote a deal and then ordered a 1LT RS the other night. Since it was late, when I submitted the order, I made a mistake on one letter of the customer's last name. When I caught it, I called the DBC to get it changed (I can't do it on a sold order). The young lady at GM helped and corrected the problem.

However, when I went to check what she did, all of the optional equipment on the order was gone and it was just left a s a 1LT with a stick. YIKES!

So, if you make any change, make sure your dealer gives you a new printout of the GM Workbench order sheet and you better check it yourself and initial it.

Keep your heads up and it's just a warning.

GM really needs to do something about this. This site is littered with people that have had there orders screwed up because a change was made and some options fell off. There is no excuse for this.

As the moron GM rep told me on the phone last night.... "This whole thing is a mess and we are trying to sort it out but we really don't know what to do"

At least he was honest....

There ae actually a few minor things I wanted to change since my initial order way back. I'm not even going to do it. It sit's as the original order. Not taking any chances. Might be good advice to make sure it's as you want it before you place your initial order and don't make ANY changes at all. But ya, definately make sure it's all still right before you leave when you do.

I caught it on a change months again, hence the RS warning I posted....

Best advice, Have a printout of your order...If you make a change, get a printout AFTER the change...compare, if there's and issue, have your dealer call DEALER SUPPORT to correct it.

What this shows you is, RPO and I CHECK orders CAREFULLY! We can't speak for every dealer though -and we know there's been some missed already that went through the system.

My RS package was removed (like several others) however my dealer and I caught it about 2 weeks before the order went into the system so it was an easy change. the key is if you do make a change just check a little while later to make sure it actually went in

It was actually THAT warning you gave us that I went in to check my order anyway. Even with no changes. lol

I feel terrible for the ones wh had their car come in wrong.
