Paint starting to pit under the hood.

I own a 2012 Camaro 1LT. I was cleaning my engine bay today when I noticed a small area on the passenger side near the wheel well where there was some pitting.

I don't think it has got to the bare metal yet, the primer still looks ok but should I bring this to the dealers attention and see if they will fix it?

There's an issues/problems area in the forum. You might get more responses in this area. This forum is primarily for ZL-1 related topics.

I guess I should have posted this in the "warranty" section, Mods please move thread if so.

However this is the general SS/LS/LT forum, not the ZL-1, I'm not that dumb, lol.

My bad....you're correct. The hassle would be having the dealer repaint the area. I'd just keep any eye on it and see if it gets any worse.

ZL-1? Wrong answer, and wrong area. you are not in the ZL-1 section.

Wait, you mean GM has another paint issue? I thought GM paint process was the best....NOT!

This is something that you may want your dealership to check out and diagnose. It is not a guarantee that your warranty will cover the issue because the paint warranty covers specific issues with the paint. Please let us know how everything goes!
