Exclamation Vararam vs Roto Fab vs Cold Air Inductions

Out of all of the aftermarket intakes these seem to be the top three. (Specifically for performance)

Vararam vs Roto Fab vs Cold Air Inductions

Has anyone experienced more than one of these three and came to a conclusion with results of which one gives the highest gains ?

I know there was a shop that dyno'd most of them but the spreadsheet was deleted from the post

I have experience with all 3. Put the one that looks the best to you on and enjoy. Im a Vararam fan but the Rotofab is the easiest to install of the 3.

My Dyno test showed I gained with the new vararam over the roto-fab with no other changes SAE corrected

Vararam classic will give the highest gains, but is not able to be used with supercharger. CAI and roto-fab make excellent intakes and are a wash between who has the bigger power gains. In the end you can't go wrong with any of these. Personally I'm running a roto-fab and it's my second vehicle with one.

If you do a search...there are hundreds of threads on the subject.
My advice.....flip a coin and pick one.

Staying N/A? Vararam.

Going F/I? I'd recommend CAI or ADM Race with the air scoop. The Z/28 and RotoFab are nice units too.

How to hug your camaro
Buy the car that you would most like to get beat in. The other guy will always be faster.

Vararam unless you're going FI or if you like the look of another brand of CAI. Vararam now also has an intake with a box and a cone filter if you don't want to go with their OTR CAI, but I would highly recommend the OTR CAI since you have a 2010.

If you're talking about the Jannetty testing, there's a link on this page. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...=48202&page=43 that should work but the test was done a few years ago so I'm sure improvements were made by all three.

I have the CAI but my primary criteria wasn't hp gains. Each one has it's strong points but any of them will help.

Gentleman, greatly appreciate all of your input.

I went with the vararam, the cold air inductions looks absolutely beautiful but I want power and for now the car will be staying N/A.

As you all heard before installation was an absolute and utter nightmare. I am not a full time mechanic but never has it taken me this long to install an intake.

Aside from the dreaded installation process for this intake, it is great.
