I haven't been out to Speedworld since Janauary, and the pending meeting with Maricopa in August has got SW ownership a bit worried. They are having a "Street Wars" race there tonight, with "special tech", arm or flag drop racing allowed. In support of this track, I'm going to strap what's left of the drag radials and go out tonight and have some fun. I'm hoping I see a certain 2013 GT500 Shelby Mustang out there as well.....keeping my fingers crossed.

Hopefully some ZL1's wish to pickup some action tonight as well.
Hot, humid, air will suck, but it will suck equally for everyone. They're also allowing you to bring and apply your own track prep.

For all the other's who might have wished to run the track, especially with "special tech" going on, and want to help give both financial and community support, tonight might be a good time to show that support for this dragstrip .

My ZL1 has been down now for almost a month while I do some mods. :(

Well.....you never know. Seems that there are several modded ZL1's in AZ now. I'm just hoping a new GT500 rolls in, preferably on drag radials

Fun night. The GT500 was a no-show.....oh well.
A couple of gen 5 Camaro's were there, along with a number of Mustangs. Most were running in the 13.2-13.5 with traps in the 103-108 area.

No track prep and DA's around 3600-3800 feet, but the conditions were the same for everyone so no complaints here. Still managed to pull 11.5-11.6's with 123-125 MPH on 1.80 60' short times. Pretty suprised by the MPH given the crappy, humid air.

Hope to see more Camaro's at the next event

Yes, If you're in the area you might have seen my ZL-1. Currently I'm the only one south of Tucson with one right now.
