Can You Drain and Fill 2010 V6 Tranny?
Couldn't find a definitive answer searching the posts. Is it possible to drain and fill the 2010 V6 tranny without dropping the pan? I know it's not as good as a true flush, but if the plug is magnetic, it will at least remove some of the metal fragments and clean out the fluid a bit. You could also do it several times for the price the dealer would charge to do it once, making the fluid cleaner each time. Bob

I have seen on other sites (Toyota) where folks routinely drain just the contents of the pan at regular intervals to keep their automatic trans fluid fresh and they swear by it.
I also recently took my wife's Honda Civic in for the recommended 30,000mi "auto trans service" and all they did was drain 4qts out of the pan and charge me $70! Won't fall for that again! So I expect it wouldn't hurt the Camaro- just measure what comes out and replace the same .
