Ok, so many have been given TPWs, several have had theirs change like mine. From April 20th, to May 4th, to May 18th, to June 1st. Although i think its bull that my car isnt being produced next week with the new batch of M6V6s, thats ok, having the TPW as the same date of the deadline is really freaking me out. Everything i read, is pointing towards Chapter 11. If anyone here knows more indept knowledge, please let me know. At this point im very upset and actually depressed. This has been the car of my dreams, and at this point, i will be desperately needing a car in June. But if they file Chapter 11, im afraid of the car even being built, not being striped, or even being transported. I have noticed, that when i see a Camaro, like the one at a nearby dealership yesterday, that I as well as my friends and family are beginning to get dissapointed. Not in GM, definitly not the Camaro, but just the timing. The car which should have been made, but didnt because of Tranny problems, has sat at 3000 since March 19th, yet there are many M6V6 orders going 3400 for next week. The car in which i waited for, and i know many others have to, is right at my fingertips, yet soo far away.
If anyone has any sugestions,. comments or anything, please post.
If you have an idea on the odd of GM filing Chap 11, shoot for it. If you have estimations go for it. Im just depressed and would like to know if i should be or not.

Look at it this way........you may get a VIN with a low # from the NEW GM.

Maybe # 1 ?

Relax man, start breathing. In 1.. 2.. 3.. Out 1.. 2.. 3.... ok better? Remember the point of Chapter 11 is to trim the fat and shed some of their obligations to become a better company and become profitable again. Do you really think it's likely that they will cancel production on what will be (in the short term) one of the best things the company has going for it?

If and when GM files they will not likely have the same shut down period as Chrysler. GM is filing chapter 11 to be able to sustain operations and deal with creditors and UAW not to shut the business down and walk away. Camaro is its hottest product and one of its keys to survival as it goes forward. I would say you are very safe.

One of the agreements in the GM Canada deal with the CAW, is that the following plants WILL NOT CLOSE DOWN: Oshawa, St. Catherines, Windsor, and I believe there was one in Woodstock as well.

Production will not be stopped on the Camaro. GM had over 165,000 pre-orders of the Camaro in the past 2 years. The car is only made at the Oshwa plant. I realize the wait is the most frustrating part, but the car will get here soon! Just breathe!

ehhhe where comes that number from? Last time i heard was just 18 000.

Perhaps it's the V6 that did it, but my 2SS was given a TPW of 18 May, and mine was in fact built on the 21st. I don't believe your delay has anything to do with GM's financial status. I'm not trying to start a V6 rumour, not at all. I'm just saying they ARE making some of the predictions, but the reason for your delay is simply unknown at this point.
