New radio installed

I had a 3 hour break while I was working out of town, so i visited a local audio shop. They offered me a install of a metra dash kit, kenwood 6990, onstar, and xm modules for 1300 installed. So i took them up on it. Was this a decent deal? They had it installed in an hour. Clean install and everything works as it should.

I'm impressed with this kenwood. My android phone works with Pandora and BT phone no issues, even though its not on the compatible list.

I'm very happy with the deck and the install, but was this a good deal? Not that it makes much difference at this point, but just want peace of mind that I wasn't ripped off. Thanks!

Doesn't seem like a bad one. I never did it to my car but with that list of audio their installing comes up to at least $900 if not $1K so i guess its not bad

That's about the going price for all the equipment at retail. I would say it's a decent deal, about like getting the install free.

Does the android work Pandora with or without BT?

That's likely in the neighborhood of what you would have payed anywhere for the equipment and the installation, so they didn't rip you off on the install.

Android works with Pandora over BT. You can control Pandora from the head unit. It even shows the album graphics on the head unit.

The head unit also works well with the phone features. You can scroll missed calls, outgoing calls, incoming calls, etc. It allows full access to you phone-book and even shows battery level and signal strength.

You can also access any MP3 files you may have on your phone directly from the head unit over BT.

So in short you never have to touch the phone.

The only downfall of this versus the wired iphone is, your limited to BT bandwidth. The BT however does sound pretty good for casual listening, it is far from audiophile.

Did they have an issue keeping your factory sensors working? The company I used seems to have a problem figuring out how to get the rear sensors working right with the meta kit. They also cant seem to get the controls in the steering wheel to work perfectly either. I went with the pioneer 4400BH...

As for steering controls, I do not have them in a 1SS. I'm not sure what rear sensors your referring too.
