Yeah. I was glad to receive a PM this morning from him after I asked if he was o.k.. Horrible that it happened. Glad he walked away.

At any point does he plan to share with the community what happen? I"m curious as to if it was just a driving accident or if something happen to the car that caused the accident. And if its something bad with the car, does GM have any plans to look into this?

Hope you're alright man!

Accidents happen, it's a part of life. As long as you're okay, that's all that matters.

People will be stupid about things like that, hopefully you can be riding in another ZL1 in no time.

Swacar: I believe he mentioned an issue with the steering system - however: This is an ongoing deal with GM and a Lemon Law buyback so he does not want to discuss much about the accident and is keeping information output to a minimum. I will respect his wishes and not repeat what he told me in the PM. Just know that it would have been scary as all hell and he is lucky the car held up structurally and that it was not another car that he hit.

As I said in the other post, hope he is OK, and glad to hear he is.

No matter the situation, it is horrible to loose a car . . been there . . done that.

I'm wondering if he's keeping quiet due to potential legal action...product liability issues. I'm pretty sure I'd be leaning this direction.

In support of a fellow C5 member and ZL1 owner from a person who tangled with a tree many years ago...glad you are OK.

One thing that hasn't been said - the car held up reasonably well and he walked away. That's reassuring, but I really don't want to test mine under real conditions. Just sayn'
