What to do? Second Camaro

So, the option has been brought up by the wifey in regards to getting a second Camaro. The options are, another 2011 Synergy series SS vert in black. Or a ZL1 vert. Mind you, we daily drive our current Synergy series 2LT so this other would be the occasional driver weekend toy. The 11 SS is for sale locally with low miles and a slightly high asking price. We don't have to do either, but the option is there.
Thoughts???

If you are only going to drive it occasionally as a weekend toy, I would definitely get the ZL1, if you can afford it.

If it's a weekend car you don't need the HP you can go with the SS and save some money for the wife to thank her by taking her on a vacation "Think" before you pay. It's a win..win situation!

Of course the ZL1, as long as you've put some thought into the financial side of this.

You can just about buy 2 2011 SS cars for the price of one new ZL1 Vert.
That new ZL1 vert is gonna run just over $61k

And don't forget to consider that insurance is going to be higher also.

Thanks for the replies. RollaMo, that may well be a good angle to approach this with.

If this is a weekend car and you can financially do either one, then I say go with the ZL1. If should not even be a thought to go with the SS....unless you can't afford the ZL1.

Hmm, I'm waiting to see someone get the 1LE option and supercharge it/few more mods to make more powerful than the ZL-1. And then use the money left over for that vacation!

Gator, since you cannot get a 1LE in a convertible that would be off the table. Nice idea though. The key to all of this is the SS ia a Synergy Series just like our current one. That's the draw to the SS. 2 Synergy's in the garage would be cool. And with low production numbers it would sweeten the deal.
