Interior customization question...

Hey everybody! Ok, this may be a silly question.... I have a 2013 ZL1 coupe w/ a manual trans, I purchased an after market shifter knob to add a little custom touch to it! Though following the directions to remove the factory shift knob, I can't get it removed. I've looked up diagrams, etc on the factory spec for the shift knob removal, but nothing is effective (yet it seems really simple!!!)! Anyway, has anybody on here been successful w/ the removal of the factory shift knob on a 2013 ZL1 manual trans, and if so, what steps did you take???

twist the chrome ring i believe clock wise and pull the boot down and on the passenger side there is a set screw you need to remove then she pops right off

Yes, the above post is how to do it. I did it and it takes some pulling to get it off. Don't hit yourself in the head!
