Engine Temperature - Cold. Is it normal?

I parked my car outside over night and when I came back in the morning and started it up I noticed that engine temperature gauge is very close to C, i let it warm up a little before driving off. Is it normal? I have a second car - Lexus GS300 and never ever encountered a problem like this one.

Mine never moves. Check your display if you want a good reading.

I was very confused until I seen your location. Its normal, just let the car warm up and take off. Mine always starts all the way at the C on a cold morning here in the fall/winter in Kansas.

Check your DIC. I don't know what the V6 coolant temp should be, on a SS it runs at 192F unless the thermostat has been changed or there is a problem somewhere.

When I get in the car each morning I switch the DIC to the temp read out and let it get to about 110* or 112* and roll out. I have some slow driving through town before I hit the interstate where it's usually at 175* when I'm getting on.

How to hug your camaro
Buy the car that you would most like to get beat in. The other guy will always be faster.
