SS/RS: Ballast wattage - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I have an SS/RS. I changed my bulbs alone to 6000k leaving the factory ballast. I changed them because IMO the lights were dim. I was wondering what the wattage is on the factory ballast? I've heard of some people running aftermarket HID kits off of the factory ballast! Supposedly it greatly improved the output of the lights. (I always had aftermarket HID kits and were always brighter than factory.) Is there a kit out there that's plug and play, no cutting and splicing for the factory ballast system?
