Strange brake wear...

So I started to hear a nasty metal on metal sound so I checked my brake pads on the outside and they were good. I knew exactly which one it was coming from so when I took off my tire and got a look at it I seen that the inside pad on the front drivers side was warn down to nothing.

However it had a little over 1/8" left on the outside pads to the wear bar. So I took the passenger side off and both inside and out side had the same amount of life left with a little over 1/8" remaining to the wear bar.

Is there something wrong with my drivers side front caliper? My dad suggested it could be that the one side of the pistons wasn't building pressure. However that was before I took the otherside off, which pretty well crossed that off the list of possibilities.

Id like to figure out why it is doing this as I have some new drilled and slotted rotors with new hawk hps pads coming and would prefer that these don't meet the same fate.

Do you have a stuck piston causing the brake to drag? Try taking a short drive, using the brakes as little as possible. See if there is a big difference in temperature between one brake rotor and the other....or, you could just jack the car up and spin the wheel and see if it is free.

Ill do this tomorrow, there did seem to be a bit of a drag when I spun it after putting on some cheap pads. Not too much, just barely enough to notice the difference between the drivers and passenger side. I figured it could be because my rotor on the inside is tore up pretty good so I was just hearing the burs scraping the pad, but that would make sense if the piston was sticking.

Would there be a way to fix it if it was in fact a piston sticking? (with above average mechanical skill)
