Newish owner of 2002 camaro ss slp , I drag it!!!

Early this summer I bought a 2002 camaro ss slp edition. Had SLP exhaust dual dual, rims, car cover, deck mat, stiching in head rests, was 335 version as It did not come with a lid.

6 speed
160,000kms ( not miles, 100k miles)
3:42 gears
Newer transmission
non t top coupe version.

Since buying it I have done the following mods

Synthetic in engine and rear diff, new fluid in trans.
MSD wires
SLP Smooth Lid
Diablo Handheld tuner
Mickey Thompsons 275 r17 drag radials

bmr lower control arms and relocation brackets.
QA1 Rear shocks

Race it all summer at my local track Mission Raceway in Mission, BC Canada.

45 min from Vancouver.

IT has ran a best of 13.1 &108.8mph

WIth that time, should I not be in the 12s?

Car pulls strong, fricken love this car. funnest car I have ever owned.

Planning to do headers, cam and exhaust soon... in a couple months I will be doing that...

Anyways, I will be doing a lot of researching and searching of thread. I want to get this thing into the 11s N/A... So ill be asking and awnersing on this forum now. cheers

Andrew

For 4th gen tech, you'll fine a lot more info on ls1tech.com. For good BS'ing, this part of Camaro5 is perfectly fine

As for your times, you need to post more info like 60', DA, etc. Either way, glad to see someone else out there beating on their car!

man today after work I hydro plained and spun it off the highway. so PISSED!

got lucky as I corrected into the slide, and spun over a small curb, the curb is there because the highway floods. Stupid me forget about it flooding there , oh well. anyways, damage is steering rack tie rods, needs an alignment, rims might be out of true on one side....
gaps look fine, but i will find out more tomorrow.

Shitty ass day :(

Nice car. Our non T-top SLP coupes are quite rare. You have about the same amount of KM's as I do over here in Victoria, but I don't drive mine in winter! I did a dyno pull this summer and she pulled 325.1 HP at the wheels, and as you've already discovered the LS1's are very under-rated.

ill get pics soon, but no damage to look at other then the wheels pointing dfferent directions. Im gunna go ahead and replace the steering rack and front struts, as well as maybe put some tubular control arms.

they are very rare being a canadian model. I love it.. after checking the car over, no damage other then tie rods and an alignment needed. I got lucky.
