Can the ECF insert be buffed?
Hey guys,
I caught a pretty significant rock chip that requires getting the bumper repainted. And while lookin the car over before taking it to the body shop I noticed some swirl scratches (very very fine, can't even feel them). I was thinking of having the body shop just give it a very light buffing to take them out. So since the ECF has been clear coated, I'm assuming it can be buffed as well. Am I wrong?

Yes it can be buffed. Im about to do mine as it has a few holograms in it from the factory buff. Just dont use too agressive of a pad or compound and you dhould be fine.

I believe you can but I would use some compound that removes small scratches and do it by hand.
Sucks about the bumper. |

You think with jewelers polish and a hand pad I could do it?

My detailer buffed and polished it exactly like the rest of the car. It is clear coated so I don't see any reason not to treat it like any other body panel.
