BAP messing with FM Radio

Any of you guys having issues with the BAP causing the FM radio to kick in and out.

Im thinking the extra long wires that came with this thing is causing it to act like an antenna and adding emi. I quickly moved some wires around and it helped, but i need to make some more changes.

Anyone have this issue, and what did you do to fix it?

Thanks,

I think crutchfield used to sell a wrap you could put around power wires to reduce the interference. If you have a ton of extra wire route it as far away as possible from the radio, antenna, speaker wires, and amp wiring. If you run it alongside any of them it picks up the interference. Then get rid of any extra wire length and solder the connections.

Might want to call a couple car audio install shops and see what they have.

This might do the trick, run the power wires through that.

I have a couple options. First I'm going to do some rerouting and shorten my power and ground. I might then try some ferrites from work. Was seeing if anyone else had the same issue or not. I'm too lazy now to do anything about it.

moved some wires around and it didnt make much a difference. There is like a special sweet spot where the radio has no issues. I need to pick up some new ring terminals and shorten my power and ground to the battery. Issue is i still have that very long cable that goes to the fuse box for the fuel pump.

Anyone know how the antenna wire is ran from the window to the radio?

Thanks

Many folks have the same issue with msd bap as well. I have a whipple and after the bap was installed, I can't use the radio anymore. There are a couple of threads on here.

Anyone ever figure out a fix for this? My stereo reception is horrible unless I shut the car off. It's been like that ever since I installed a Whipple with an MSD BAP.
