you are going to feel better responsivness from the vehicle as you get on the throttle. As far as getting that much hp, I doubt it.

I have not dynoed Ruby since adding this mod and I added a couple of other things at the asme time, but my butt dyno loves it! It was so responsive & accellerated so much faster, I had to sort of re-learn to drive her in town. Well worth the $ IMHO.

Where did you get the tb from? Looking at modding my Camaro a bit with some simple bolt ons. Thanks.

I personally couldn't tell the difference.
I read here that others felt the same way so I drove around to get a fresh feel for acceleration in different gears and then slapped on the ported TB.
Nothing. I was very disappointed. :(

A ported TB gives you better throttle responce, but no HP gain.

HP Gains from the VMax CNC pattern ported are documented all over the forums and in several magazines. Hand porting only the few that actually have mastered it show power (see Bo White).

This much hp? No. The documented HP gains of the Vmax TB that I've seen is between 4-5 hp/tq. Since the vast majority of people can't feel the difference until you get above a 10 hp/tq difference don't expect to notice any gain but they are there.

Now is a ported TB worth it? HELL YES!!! The increased throttle response the Vmax TB gives is very noticeable and increases the performance of the car.

Don't know about the big gains but defineatly worth doing just for the throttle response. I installed my Vmax when I did the heads and injectors. Bought mine from Jannetty.

Just be warned that if you decide to order one, you might have to wait a while because everyone wants to get one!
