Removing engine cover = any increase ?
All I hear about the engine cover is "Take it off!" "All it does is hold heat!".. .so I'm wondering if anyone has proof of any benefits ..?

It's insulation for the loud injectors (ticking noise)...now Does it makes it cooler? probably not by much...with as bad as our heat soak is for the LLT it won't matter greatly, but...every bit helps I guess. Removed mine

Or vent it? I added a couple LED strips under mine and painted the intake red to really make it stand out.

It was more of a cosmetic thing for me. I don't like the look of a floppy, non-functional piece of plastic snapped on top of the engine.
I'd say that there are no gains to be had. It might help a little at the drag track to have it off - particularly between runs when heat soak will be the most problematic.

Very nice looking cover. I would like to have the talent to do something like that.

Nice, would love to see a pic of your engine bay with this and the red intake together.

Thanks guys, for the compliments. Can't take one lit up, it's not dark, but here's one I just took. Lighting kinda sucked, but it is what it is. And I used the 3/4 of a can of caliper paint I had left over after painting my calipers.

On the manifold. The cover i painted with color matched aerosol from autmotivetouchup.com. Spot on match.

That is an awesome looking cover. I am currently looking for ideas to redo mine and may take some styleing queues from yours if you don't mind. Would love to see how you mounted the LED's too.
Thank - you, GREAT JOB.
