I added what GM should have included...Thought I would share - I like it.

Did you finds whese with adhesive backs? if so, where? or did you have to cut off the origanal posts and put the tape on the backs?

They come with the posts which need to be cut-off and body filler or liquid metal used to smooth the back to a flat surface to enable 3M Automotive tape to be applied. Here's my install pic below - I had mine done in late June by an Auto Body shop.

I gpt my V-Flags from Ground-Up http://www.ss396.com/ , link to fender emblems = http://www.ss396.com/mm5/merchant.mv...=FENDEREMBLEMS

Note I also removed the "GM" logo for a cleaner look.

See this thread for fixxer56's details http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...hlight=V-Flags - he did these first the best I can tell.

Nice job Tomato - glad to see at least three of us have done this and with three different body colors...

May as well add mine to the mix.
Tip of the hat to fixxer56 for leading the way.

I used two layers of 3M tape to fill in the back.

I had already wanted to this mod, and talked to fixxer some time ago after I saw that thread, I was just wondering if Tomato had found them with taped backs, thats all.

Looks good! I also bought the front header panel emblem "Camaro by Chevrolet" but I don't think I am going to install it...Just doesn't go. The RS emblems look good there!

I bought the "Camaro by Chervolet" emblem as well - I plan on installing above the "RS" badge on the grill - looks fantastic there just holding it up. My Auto Body shop wanted to mount it on the top of the bumper as the '68/'69 had but they wanted to drill holes - no way and too hard to cut the posts off and fill-in back/apply 3M tape.

So I'm seeking brackets or something to hold the emblem to the grill that will stand-up to road abuse... will post when I get it done.

Nice though wouldn't you want to stay true to the 1st Gen Camaro emblems?

See these links for the 327 emblem in your post - this was used up until 1963 on Impala, Belair, Biscayne: http://www.pbase.com/kjosker/fender_badges&page=all

TRUE as that is what I am going to do, just giving another option, I just wish they would make them with the backs filled in and double sided tape already on. I have found the ones above made that way, but not the camaro badges, but I am still looking and will bring the news to everyone if I find them. OTHERWISE, I will just mod them like everybody else.
