Dealer called me today to give me my vin #. He also said he expects it in 2-3 weeks!!! But i am however starting to have second thoughts about it cuz its expensive. I ordered a 2SS/RS, victory red with hockey stripes, sunroof, ground effects, and 21" tires, MSRP around 45,000 plus TT&L. I have 10,000 to put down but fear the monthly payments plus insurance. Geico quoted me 280 a month but i am gonna shop around and possible put it under my moms name and list me as a driver so it will be cheaper. What r u all's opinion? Do I stil get it? I am 22, make pretty good money and still live at home so i dont have that many bills. Tell me what u all think. By the way i keep telling my self that i deserve it, and that i didnt go to school for nothing and especially to be driving a Focus!!

If your having second thoughts about it, may be you should have went with a less expensive package or a different model. You can always add on the extras later down the road. If I'm going to pay close to 50k for a car, I'm going to go the extra mile and get the Vette.

maybe you shouldn't have optioned it out so much, play with the numbers and it's it's too much of a stretch get one a bit cheaper... you may not wanna be at home for the next 4-6 yrs because you got a car that's costing you too much.

If you can afford it, I guess. It sounds like you got a little carried away with the options..

![]() For the OP If you plan on living with family for a few more years and the trade you're in, you said you make pretty good bank, will be more profitable to you in the years to come, then go for it. Personally, the effects and $4000+ wheels are not for me. If you can swing it go for it, get what you want. If you don't think so and haven't signed a contract, you can always back out and get a damn nice 2SS when they are on lots or keep your eyes open for one someone else backed out of for under 37K. Damn, I make six digits and I don't want the payments you're looking at there. I can add a nice Harley to my stable for the difference.

You optioned it out fully and waited till it's 2-3 weeks out to start thinking about payments and insurance?
My parent's would've been PISSED if I'd ordered a car that loaded, and were still living with them. If you're making -that- kind of money (are you?) then why are you still under their roof?
