Guys,

Im really in love with the ZL1 but what really drives me crazy that all the videos on youtube shows the ZL1 loss in every drag race !!

Against the Challenger ST8, GT 5.0, GTO, shellby ... just loss after loss !!

It makes me really feel bad and raises many concerns in my mind about the ZL1 performance on track.

So I need a real experience from you guys. Is the ZL1 really a loser

or its only youtube effect

I dont own, or ever seen a ZL1 in person.... But I can safely say its a YouTube effect

add G8's to the list, hahaha

They are not set up as drag cars like the mustangs. The ones ive seen run (low 12's @ 116-118) can hold their own at the strip, but it will stomp most in the ground on a road course!! Thats what its meant for IMO.

they arent a great setup drag off the showroom floor. If you are set on a camaro just go with a SS and make the mods needed.

if you want a drag car go with a C6 platform tbh.

A ZL-1 loses to the '13 GT500 (stock vs. stock; equal driver skills) and should have a challenge against the '10-'12 GT500s and '08-'09 GT500 KRs. Don't matter to me, I'm still a big fan of the ZL-1 and would love to add it to my garage.

Take those same cars to any track with turns vs the ZL1 and see who the winner is. The ZL1 does everything well and I like that about it.

people are in the high 11's in bone stock zl1's. most important mod is the driver mod ;P

Other than that run in the middle of July that list is totally believable and I can believe it without proof. I can see ZL1's doing high 11's bone stock with good DA conditions. Hell it better be able to do high 11's stock with the amount of power that GM is claiming in good DA. Even those times are only as good as stock LS3 C6 times despite having 150hp less. Thats kinda sad.
