I just called GM Canada and talked to a very nice lady. She told me my car was built but not "released" - she said she could not give me a VIN. My TPW was last week. Once "released", it should be delivered in 8-10 business days.

Can anyone tell me what "released" means?

Its pretty straightforward; it has been physically built but it is not yet ready to ship. It has not yet been quality assessed.

Check with your Dealer for your VIN

I called yesterday and was told the same thing. My dealer had to call the DBC (Dealer Business Center) and then they gave him my VIN#. Then today he got invoiced and was told it was shipped and that it should arrive at my dealer by 6/19!!

Have your dealer call!

My TPW was last week, and me and my dealr both know that my car is built, but we have no vin either. Wonder if the release thing is only the QC hold

Ten years Bro! Ever since I sold my 4th GEN and settled down with wife and kids. Now I'm back with a Vengance!! (ok really, my kids are older, I'm more financially stable and I asked my wife if I could have my testicles out of her apron to buy this car) LOL!!
