What do you mean? Like the VMax throttle body?

If you are asking the different between stock TB versus a ported TB (using either a CNC machine or by hand), the ported TB has these swirl like engravings on the inside of the TB near the lip. It's designed to change how the air flows which is has been known to give better throttle response, but not known to give any HP increase. There is also a difference between CNC and hand ported TB. Simple, don't go with hand ported TB because they are known to be not as effiecient as a CNC and also hand porting can be very difficult to get right. A CNC ported TB you can ensure that you wont have any porting issues. Not sure if this helps at all, but I know there are many others around here that can probably give you a more technical answer if thats what you are looking for.

CNC is based off of a tested and true hand port.
Hand porting takes skill and experience to get right time after time. There are some ports that can be duplicated by hand but not worth the effort for the market price for said port. CNC has its advantages: time and consistency. There is HP in both CNC and a proper hand port.

i wont even waste time or money with mods like aftermarket throttle body. but then again i was never the type of person who wants or need maximum power out of my engine.

Porting of the TB is not usually for adding power but to enhance drivability by increasing throttle response. Increased HP is a side benefit.

So if I get the VMAX Ported TB and send in my core, that would be the best idea??

Sure, I think they have cores already cut. Just call them up or a sponsor that carries them. Pay the core fee and get the fee refunded on returning your stock/unmodified core.

Throttle response will be what you get out of it and you'll feel it. Hp is a no.

Can vouch for improved throttle response but not power gain.

Properly ported it will give you some power increase.

If your not going to tune and paired with a good cai it's worth it. If your going to tune LT headers is the best bang for the buck but its considerably more expensive. Just my opinion.
