Not sure if I'm venting or asking for advice. If you have any, please post. OK, so my car has been sitting in a railyard for over a week now. Talked to my dealer today and was told "It doesn't look like GM has payed the Shipping charges and the rail company won't release it from the railyard."

Has anyone else had this happen? He said the other camaro that they are expecting is having the same problem. He suggested I call GM customer service to see if there is anything they can do and he will continue looking into it.

I called customer service and was told "It's in transit. Please continue working with your dealer".

I called again today and told them what my dealer told me and they said "the representative you spoke to yesterday is working on it and will give you a follow-up call concerning this issue next week."

My vin status is listed in the Bayed/QC Hold thread as 4D-Unknown. I'm going crazy here.

Surely that's not the case. Ramping up production would be pointless if you can't get the cars into owner's hands via rail!

Definitely sounds odd to me too but why else would my car be sitting in the railyard? I asked today if it was a QC Hold issue and was told no, it was released from QC Hold on May 16th - same day it shipped from Oshawa. Seems like they would want to get it to me asap, I just want to make sure some paperwork somewhere hasn't gotten lost.

My dealer also said they haven't been paid their sales incentives from the previous month yet either. I don't know I JUST WANT MY DAGGUM CAR!

Dealer doesn't want you bugging them and has passed the buck. I assure you the rail yard gets paid. Suggest you call the Sales Mgr and demand a different sales person for final paper signing so he doesn't get the benjamin's for the sale and the sales mgr is aware of his/her lameness!

Don't worry they will pay. It's government check now anyway.

No rail company is gonna / can say no.

It's official business of United States Government now to ship and service the Camaro's.

My dealer told me the Camaro was in Iowa Monday morning and today it had made it to Kansas City and it was on its way to Oklahoma City. It will be unloaded and trucked to my dealer.

I might be lucky and get the car on Friday...but I would bet it would be Tuesday of next week before I get it. These trains are like slow banana boats from Central America.

So you're dealer says something sarcastic... You have ass believe it.... You come here and post it... Get real guy! GM wants these cars delivered ASAP. Remember, GM doesn't get its money until buyer takes delivery. They want that car in your hands probably more than you do. GM is fighting for its life.

Well, I hate to say this without a video tape. When I was at my dealer today...the clean up guy told me that the trucking company that deleivered a Camaro today stated that "GM owes them $30 Million" . I have no proof of this...so I am just letting you know!

Somebody is just feeding somebody BS. GM wouldn't not pay. Could there have been a mix-up sure, but I guarantee it wouldn't be a long wait for that money to get there, as others have said, GM needs the money and they aren't going to have overhead sitting at a rail yard
