Dealer Decal

I've had the car two weeks now and have to take it to the dealer to have it detailed. We bought it late one evening and they couldn't clean it then so they "owe" us one.
I'm thinking of telling them to remove the dealer decal off of the of rear end. What do you all think? It has nothing to do with the dealership, we've bought cars there before, I just don't like it taking away from the car.

I've removed the dealer decal as soon as I got home...
I would say that most of us have done it.

The dealer decal on mine was removed by me before I left the lot. This is on both of my Camaros. I would also caution you on letting the dealership "clean/detail" your car. I have yet to see a dealer that washes the car properly without leaving swirls and micro scratches. I would detail it myself if I were you.

I thought of doing it myself... What do you use to remove it? Does it just peel off? Thanks!

To detail it or to get the dealer logo off?

I have always had them removed. Unless the dealer wants to pay for advertising space they come off. Can't think of any dealer that had a problem removing them for me when I asked else I just removed when I got home. I use label removal to loosing them up and then clean up/rewax the area.

Just take it off with your fingernails or warm it up first with a hair dryer. And finish cleaning it up with cotton ball and rubbing alcohol, final after lettering is off spray it with car detailer or car paste wax and rub gently with microfiber cloth.

Back in the day, those dealer decals were emblems that were riveted on.
Be thankful the dealer didn't drill holes in the body.

A hair dryer and my thumbnail took care of that.

I forgot all about that! I remember that on my parents cars - and something about one that broke off and we had the holes back there. Memories...
