Headliner designed like 4th gen 4 t-tops

Just wondering if anyone eles has notice this. It was one of the first things I noticed when I got my 2ss. The headliner is larger in the center like the 4th gens that had t-tops. Could just be the design of the roof to make head room and support I dont know or could it be a future option what do you guys think?

I'm thinking it has to do with running any wires etc to the antenna in the back maybe? Maybe something to do with the Mirror and light controls etc at the top front as well..

Not sure .. maybe someone with more knowledge can chime in.

reverse mohawk.

t-tops will not happen from the factory with this car.

There is no way you will ever see t-tops on a new car ever again. They would ruin the crash test results. Everyone seems to be going for that 5 star rating and you couldn't get that with t-tops.

it was designed to give maximum head clearance and keep the reverse mohawk. it was not designed for t-tops.

5 star rating means a lot to the 80% of normal people who will be buying this car.
