First opionionated rant on this forum haha

Driving to work this morning there was a WRX that FLEW past me . . not racing or anything, just guessing he was late or something. It got me thinking that a lot of people on this forum own one of these cars along with their camaro and I dont get it. If the camaro caught your eye, then I dont understand how this car does. No matter the year it just looks really nerdy and not sexy at all. I understand they are great cars being awd, pretty good on gas, and the STIs are crazy fast . . but still they are ugly as all get out! Now this is just my opinion, so dont rip me for it haha and if given the STI version I would take it bc its so quick, but I just dont get how one can buy the sexiest car on the road and turn around to buy the ugliest. Anyone??

Side Note: STI . . really? You cant go around telling people you have an STI. (sexually transmitted infection) sorry I am a health teacher haha

Personally I could never lower myself to buy a vehicle from a foreign automaker, regardless of how much content of it is assembled in America or any of that. But I live in Michigan so we're pretty passionate about driving Big 3 vehicles only.

A Nissan Cube is ugly. An Aztek is ugly. A 2005 mustang is ugly. A Subaru WRX is different, but it certainly not the ugliest car on the road.

Haha I agree there are plenty of ugly cars on the road, but everyone talks these cars up like no other. I dont care how quick it is, its still ugly! And if thats ones taste thats fine but if they have a camaro, vette, even challengers then it cant be their taste bc they obviosly know a good looking car when they see one haha

Sigh...i understand its a personal opinion, but its a very blind opinion. Lower yourself? Toyota has been ranked as the #1 auto manufacturer for years. They handled their unintended acceleration issue, and still was ranked as the world's best manufacturer. Blind....'murican bais....

Its comments like this that make me wonder why I joined the camaro community. I think its funny....I almost bought a Lexus IS-F (but the cash wasn't there at the time)...and their community does nothing but compliment the camaro and say its a great car for the money. Their bais is just about non-existent. Perhaps this community could take a lesson from them.

My sister bought a Toyota once. She owned it for almost a year before the oil lines blew up on the car and Toyota refused to fix it under warranty. Now she drives a Ford and couldn't be happier.

I still strongly consider one. Sure, its a little lower on power, and its not as aggressive looking as the camaro, but I find that car beautiful in its own right. Its a sedan that can make you eat your words. It appeals to the same people the G8 did...except for a little more $$ haha (the one I was a couple days from ordering was $68K at the time).

thought...I still debate on a trade at time....the 2 extra doors were nice haha

Oil lines blew up? I sense troll.

I have a Scion....which is at 90K miles and hasn't had a single problem with it and Toyota takes GREAT care of it. I've had a '91 Accord that I just got rid of that ran for 206K miles without a single issue and Honda always took care of me without a single question. I now have a Mazda3 with 90K miles on it as my backup car for the Camaro, and Toyota (as my Mazda dealer is shit) takes GREAT car of the Mazda too. I have no issue with the Japanese car companies, they've taken great care of me.

But ok....you can be counted as an outlier.

I am certainly not a troll. LINK. 1 million cars is not a small problem.

Ok...so the model is an outlier. Do we want to discuss the number of 'muerican cars that have recalls? This could take hours to gather them all.

I count five models. Just pointing out that all manufacturers have problems. Even the ones that say they are perfect.
