Exhaust Mod Idea- is it a dumb one?
Here's the deal-
After spending nearly a day listening to exhaust notes for cat- and axle-back mods to 5th gen Camaros with V6 engines, I'm fairly sure what I want. The problem is, most makers haven't started issuing '2013' edition parts. I did a little research- a lot of these parts are for 2010-2012 models. The engine is different between the 2010 and 2012, but the parts all still fit. The 2012 has the same engine as the 2013. I even went so far as to check the part numbers for the mufflers on the 2012 and 2013. They're identical. If that's the case... ... would it be reasonable to put an axle back system on a 2013 V^ that was marketed for a 2012 V6? Does this have warranty implications? |

Any equipment you add to your car has possible potential warranty implications. Regarding the parts, I would guess that you would be fine using a system designed for a 2012 V6.

I appreciate the intelligence of the first reply-
... the last two are not helpful at all. Anything can be cut and welded and adapted, etc. Dur. I was going deeper than that. And you- popcorn boy... SUCK IT! |

OP, I'm gonna save you a headache bro. An exhaust for and LFX equipped Camaro is an exhaust for an LFX equipped Camaro. If you're worried about warranty, you should leave your car stock [but seriously it's a freaking exhaust]. Gotta pay to play. Then you should learn some manners before posting a stupid question like this then attacking posters, all the while being in the wrong forum.
