Looks good. Did you install it your self? If so, how long did it take?

Yes, did it myself. Took about two hours. Most of the time was removing the interior in order to install the brackets. if I did another one, it would take about an hour.

is this bar, a functional roll over bar? Or is it just for looks?

Installed my Revolution Sport Bar yesterday.....pics up soon. To install their sport bar all you have to remove is the cover over the seat belt holder. Looks like the Revolution SB fits better as well as the CDC bar looks to overhang on the interior side.

The CDC piece fits the car perfectly. The color and texture are a Perfect match for the interior. They are known for OEM Quality fit and finish and are an OEM Supplier to certain manufacturers as well. The way the brackets mount to the B Pillar make it a very strong mount and I believe it might give some protection if needed. If the other one only bolts to the top of the B pillar and does not have an angled bracket, it would guess it would be more for appearance.

I did not like the square edgy look of the Revolution Bar, and the CDC unit is 1/2 the price too. Actually, in this pic, I thought the fit was less than desirable. Between that and the price, I thought the CDC was the better way to go and I am very happy with it.

CDC Fits flush where it meets the side trim panel..... Plus, with the third brake light where it is from the factory, there is no need for another one in the bar.

By the way, I am in no way affiliated with Revolution.

My sport bar a) does not have the break light and b) fits flush to the seat belt cover.

To me the CDC bar is too small (and too round) for the car (JMO). The Camaro is a big car! To be honest, that is one of the reasons I got a sport bar. I thought it added something to help break up the length of the car when the top was down. I think the picture you showed of the Revolution is a bad example. The angle makes it look huge.

I'm with you CooG. I thought pretty hard about getting the CDC version because it was considerably cheaper but like the looks of the REVO better. I'm anxious to see it installed on your ride and am happy you dont have to take out the rear seat and interior to install. Were the instructions pretty straight forward?

If you're in the rear seat an use the bar for support to help you get out of the car, does it seem like it will support weight?

Id consider getting the sport bar(the smaller one) if and only if it was functional, either adding some sort of rigidity to the frame, and/or having some kind of safety characteristics. Not that I plan on flipping my car, but if it was a true roll bar, it might prevent a decapitation. Instead it might actually cause a decapitation because it wasnt designed to be a roll bar.

I love the CDC on that pace car. I think the rounded look works well with it. To each his own. They both look pretty darn good.
