How's it going Camaro5?
I need some help on installing my ported snout. I understand there is 16 bolts to remove the cover, but I cannot reach the four bolts in the back. There is a metal frame that is in the way. Has anyone one done this before and can help me out? I have to send out my stock snout out already but I'm stuck ![]() Thanks Met

Take the cowl by the windshield whippers off and drill some holes in the cover under it to get to the SC bolts.

I saw a thread a while back where one of the shops mentioned the combination of jointed extensions they used. Drilling holes is not the only option...nor dropping the engine. I'll see if I can find the thread. But my searching ability is lacking...

I think they even found some plugs for the holes also. |

Yes if you can get them out any other way that's fine. But access holes are not a bad thing if it is your car and many places on your car has acsess holes for getting to bolts.
When it comes to torquing the bolts all the wiggles may not work well. |

ADM says they can access the rear bolts with a 6" extension, 1/4 rachet, deep well socket and universal joint. Looks impossible when I see the clearance back there, but I haven't tried yet.

Wow, I can see doing it that way to take it off but I don't know if I would trust doing that to torque it back down.

Yeah you wouldn't be able to torque it down that way at all.
