They just don't know what they're missing.

Bought my car in November. Top has only been able to be down two or three times, which is driving me a little crazy. I think I will stare at the picture of top down driving for awhile.

pkauf, i was stationed in TX from 95-99. are the inspection stickers still in the shape of Texas? Being in the military, my windshield was full of stickers. Barracks parking sticker, inspection sticker, registration sticker, and a month, year, and the name of the base sticker in the middle top of the windshield..
Here in Jacksonville, Florida, it was 85. I even had to turn the ac on with the top down.

OK Moderators! I think we need to stop this sillyness. Can we ban all these type of threads. It really makes those of us up north begin working on other skills like noose tying... I have at least 2 to 3 months before I see a high temp of 70. I'm going to go back to my corner and cry...

jpwickl,
I just moved to this area a few weeks ago. Who is a reliable dealer here in Jacksonville? I've just noticed that my top is starting to rub against the well again & is starting to wear; I expect it will probably have a hole in it before too long. Also, I've had cards placed on my windshield for a local club - what's the best one to go with? I was with the Camaro South club in Jacksonville, NC & have been thinking about contact the Camaro South chapter here in FL.

Thanks...

hey, there classic

Alas, this is my first Camaro, so I do not yet know of any local Camaro clubs. If you find one, shoot me a PM and let me know.

Also, i am not that knowledgeable about most local dealers. I only have experience with four of them.

1. hyundai of orange park-avoid at all costs. service department is okay, but the sales and the customer care after the purchase (with the exception of service) suck.

2. garber auto mall-green cove springs-avoid at all costs. shady sales procedure. they are more interested in making the sale, than trying to help you get what you want.

3. Coggin buick-gms-blanding boulevard in orange park. I only have experience with their service people. Straight forward. easy to deal with.
Example, I had a 96 Sunfire. I thought i'd be cool and i had those platinum two headed plugs put in. They explained to me that the sunfire's engine really don't care for them too much, and installed the normal ones and i never had a problem with misfires after that. (they also were coggin pontiac at that time before GM shut pontiac down)

4. Gordon Chevy- Orange Park-this is where I purchased my car from. So far, so good. Sales was straightforward. My car was a dealer trade, and they brought it up from Bradenton with just a $200 check, which was later returned to me, and I voided and threw away. They are in the process of remodeling the place, so the customer lounge was a little cramped for now. They have free, quick wifi, free coffee. I have had my first oil change done for $47 plus tax. I was aware of the price before I went in, and that was what i was charged when I left. I've also had to bring the car in as the trunk latch would not work. You could hear it, it just wouldn't let go. I tried with the button on the driver's door, and the keyhole to the right of the back seat, but still no luck. The technician got it to open, but regardless, they went ahead and replaced the whole latch, and it's been great ever since.
