Changing the interior...

Hey all,

I love my ride, but the grey carpet that comes with the two tone interior is just a problem waiting to happen. I really want to change it out to the ebony carpeting. That way the two tone seats will pop a bit, especially if I dye the stitching on the seats, etc.

Has anyone done this kind of disassembly and recarpeting? What am I looking at in both cost and hours to do this?

Thanks for the suggestions, all.

Jason

Agreed. I almost bought a car that way. Then I saw the carpet and the dash. I went with black.

You will need to remove the seats, center console and the door sills. After that it should come out pretty easily. I saw some pics on a DIY thread around here.

As to cost. I think the carpet is approx $400 (may include pad). However this should be a great salvage piece for less.

No , don't change carpet. I ordered my 2013 camaro with gray interior. I loved the two tone look but knew light gray carpet would be a problem. Even before i got the car i ordered a set of mats 92221512 OEM. They are black with silver outer line and logo. I could not be happier. They cover all areas your foot touches and look like part of the two tone design. I do have a extra set. When i picked up my car my sales person threw in a set that just happen be like the ones i bought. PM me if interested. $90 plus shipping.
