NEW SETUP FOR THE GOPRO (hate the wind noise)

While tracking the zl1 I hate the wind noise from camera, going to try this setup . Now im going to mount the mic by the exhaust and engine bay, Now all we need is spring time so i can test mounting mic around different parts of the car.

Have been considering this camera for quite a while now. Are you completely happy with it? any major cons to the Gopro?

on a side note, what do you do for a living? Was that shot in your vid "testing the mic" from work? location looks farmiliar!

I've been thinking the contour is the better option as I can mount it to the visor and it has a lower profile. Haven't actually gotten it yet though.

What kind of microphone will you be using and what length cord does it have? Is it something you can pick up at Best Buy or Radioshack?

Using the Hero2 and ran the mic into the cabin area. I don't know why it has the ticking noise, might be from the exhaust note in the cab area. I was using a Sony stereo mic in this vid.
