Possible 2LT RS 45th Anniversary

Hello all!

I've been a long time reader on the forum but this is my first post

I went to the local Chevy dealership yesterday with intentions of test driving a 2013 2LT M6, but the dealership co-owner introduced me to a certified pre-owned 2012 45th anniversary 2LT A6 with only 6800 miles!

At first I was hellbent on getting an M6, but after driving the A6 in both normal and paddle-shift modes, I warmed up to the A6 quite quickly lol!

The dealer wants 29,999 for it, but I want some input from you Camaro guru's first to see if the car is worth it.

Also, being that this is the first anniversary model of the new camaro line, would the car retain its value better than a standard 2LT / RS.

I appreciate any feedback you guys/gals could offer.

Thank you!

Decide if you want the manual or automatic first.

The rest comes after that.

You do have to make the decision between Auto or Manual because once you purchase there's no going back. You definitely should test drive a like optioned LT Manual before deciding. I would want to talk them down a little in price. See if you could get them down a couple of grand, even at $29,999 I think that's a tad steep in price. To me buying an everyday Camaro LS/LT Manual or buying a 45th Anniversary 2LT Auto, I'd buy the 45th Anniversary car.

Definitely make sure you're not goin to regret the automatic. No question it's a sweet set up but certain people think they'll be fine with an auto and then regret it. Price is definitely a bit steep I'd have to imagine a 2011 SS would cost you less.

However the 45th anniversary edition is an awesome buying point and at least the auto does have the paddle shifters so you can still play with the gears.

For me Id have to say I'd want a manual as well and I know once the 45th anniversary edition ambiance wears off I'd find my self wishing I got a manual so at the end of the day it would be a manual for me

Thanks guys, I appreciate all the replies. I really like the car, I just have to see if I'm going to be regretting the monthly payment for 6 years, ya know?

$30,000 seems a bit high. But I don't know where you live or the comps. They sell for more/less in some areas.

Just to give you the price comparison, I purchased a 2012 2LT RS Auto, fully loaded with every option for $23,496 with 9100 miles on it.

By the way what is the difference with the 45th anniv 2LT RS and the one I got?

Thanks... Good looking car.. So you would be paying about 5500 more than I did just for the 45th anniv edition upgrades. Its all about how much you feel like spending.

Price is a bit high, I got a near perfect condition 45th 2SS for less, that had 29k miles. Drive that price down!

If you're worried about it retaining value a V6 is not the way to go.

The 2013 base model 2LT is $28,085 on Chevy's web site right now. Doesn't make sense to spend more on last years model used one.
