Ground Effects & No problems?

How many of you have Ground Effects installed and are having NO problems with them coming loose or falling off? And how long have you had em on?

I have had mine since April 24th. No problems, yet. But my dealer and body shop did a little more then what the instructions said to do. They put some rivets on the underneath and a bracket or two. They did this on the front piece only. Side and rear were not an issue. Very clean and done very well. Plus, its under warranty so we are all covered.

Is there really no one else who hasn't had problems with their Ground Effects and has had the car for a while?

Bumpin this,

I'd really still like to hear if there are many people who've had GFX for a while and are NOT having problems.. would also like to hear if people who are taking the car to higher speeds are having any problems once wind factor kicks up, and if clearance is much of an issue with the GFX.

I've got GFX on order with my 2SS/RS but I am seriously considering Cancelling that option due to all the issues I'm hearing about. I don't want to be watching my car fall to pieces nor do I wan't to be losing time with my car because it has to go back into the shop and get fixed or wait on new parts.

Mostly I just want to see if many people are having GOOD experiences with the GFX so that I can gain a little reassurance.... Or atleast conclude whether or not I am cancelling it. (I'd rather keep it though, I like the look..... but if they're that much of a liability I might just have to wait for some aftermarket body kits.) It just wouldn't feel the same getting aftermarket though, as having the genuine GM option.

I read about that. Sorry again to hear that. Are you running with the stock face piece then? or bare? or at all?

Sucks because of the people I've heard of with GFX... I've heard of more with problems than not so far.... was hoping to get more positive feedback but it is not looking promising so far..

If I lived up north where you have a chance of getting a lot of snow and this is your daily driver I would pass on this option. JMHO

Buying a seperate vehicle for winter. Winters short here. rains lots though.
Camaro will be in the garage during snow/salt times.

Mine are great, but the mechanic did add addtional plastic rivits up front. There is an issue if you do not install extra fasteners. Definately order and and have your dealer use the top body man or mech to install. Have GM rep get the design from Laramie WY GM Auto Center. GM already called them about the old door alingment issue (all fixed now) and I think will be calling about GFX.

I never liked the unpainted GFX on Black, but with yours the CGM stripes really set it off! I love this combo!

And back on topic... I think they've fixed the GFX problem, haven't they?
