Wrong Headlight Switch

Anyone else not get the proper headlight switch. I have the a 2SS with fog lights that I can't turn on. The center of the switch is missing the fog light button and it will not push in. Anyone else have this problem?

Your 2SS doesn't have the RS package, does it?

I bet you have the RS package which utilizes the fog lamps as Daytime Running Lights... no option for fog lights on the RS

You don't have foglights.

No disrepect here, but, Take a look at your owner's manual. It is all spelled out in there.

The "Fog Lights" with the RS Package are DRL's.

Either way, you will enjoy this car. I can't say enough good about mine.

Yes, I have the RS package. So your telling me that I can not use the fog lamps at night, and the only time they work is during the day. I am not complaining, I love the car. Figured that you would be able to use the fog lamps at night.

The RS package only allows the FOG LIGHTS to work during the day that is it, Now i am sure there is a smart guy out there that will figure out how to wire it differently

Technically, we're telling you that you don't even have fog lights. You have daytime running lights located where one might expect fog lights to be.

To not confuse everyone, please refer to those lower lights in RS cars as Daytime Running Lights.

And I believe you will find that driving at night the HIDs are so good that having a fog lamp on would make no difference. Like throwing a glass of water into the lake.

Thank you for your help and clarification! I also apologize for wasting your time. I have tried very hard to not ask dumb questions, by doing proper research and reading on here. So thanks for taking easy on me and helping me out.

I like the analogy #3. Ha, guys, so should we make a smiley that says "RSs do not have fog lights!"? I see this as having the potential to be as common as "are those the real headlights?"

Honestly, that isn't a dumb question at all. The RS lighting has been really confusing for a lot of us, because we all had a very different understanding of what it would be before production started. We all thought the halo rings would be the DRLs, the fog lights would be fog lights and everything could be turned on and off at will. We were wrong, and it is still taking us time to sort it out. Cheers! And feel free to keep asking questions!
