02 Sensor Warning!!

When you all are ready to mod your car, and need to remove your 02 sensors....Be very very careful.

In two Headers installs so far we have found 3 sensors which were cross-threaded from the factory. It is very easy to force them out, and ruin the sensor for good. So please be careful when removing them so that you do not have to replace them!!!

Just a simple heads up for all of you....
So far all 3 have been on the DRIVER side of the car..I don't knwo if that means GM has a tooling problem, or just an angry person installing them, because they are not in correctly....

That is all, just please be careful!

It could also be in the cat-back systms depending on where the start....most will start behind teh sensors so it won't matter. But if you are buying somethign that has new cats, then you will need to watch out!

They are not cross threaded guys,It is what happens when you put two like metals together(most stainless to stainless).

If you be very careful you just need a small amount of penetrating oil or form of..once cracked loose add the lubricant and work back and forth slowly.
They will come out with the lubricant ,they will not come out dry.

Also - "Never ever remove o2 sensors when the least bit warm, exhaust must be completely cool"
