Question for Dealers: Allocation volume - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hi all. I'm currently on a waiting list (Turnersville Automall, NJ) to order my car. Dealer states that I am # 17 on the list, and as soon as they get more allocations they will move down the list. My question is this: Are dealers allocated production slots yearly? Are they allocated by specific model? And finally, once they use there allocations, is there a set period of time before they will receive new allocation slots?

Allocations are done by model and the number a dealership gets depends on their volume. The allocations are for a full year but are broken up into months, so if your dealers total allocation is 20, they could receive 3 in June, 5 in july... and so on.
You need to know your dealers total allocation to insure that your #17 wasn't ordered after their total allocation was filled.
If you do come in after their total, you may end up waiting past 4th quarter for delivery.

I'm coming out of a lease in November, so I'm trying to sync the arrival of the Camaro with that. I wouldn't mind getting the car sooner, but I'd like to absolutely have it by November. Dealer seems to be under the assumption that they will receive new allocations "in July"...

Allocations are monthly. The next round will be out arond July 23-24. Check to see how many cars are in front of you.
