That will help you learn respect before You crash it. I saw my friends ZL1 with the splitter ripped off of it, looks like he took a detour. I went side ways going up a slight hill in ptm mode 5 caught me by surprise. Alot of these ZL1"s are wrecked already.

Ill agree with you about the respect thing. And I can see how people can get into an accident easily. I wonder if there are any other horror stories out there??

I have already paid for my mistake.

I got mine out of the way early on doing that. I learned never again no nannies off and WOT getting onto the freeway in 60 degree weather. The tires had no grip. Ended up doing a 180 on the on ramp and hit the curbing. I was able to drive it home. It did teach me how tail happy the ZL1 is and also learned just let up on the throttle as bit!

HUGE thing to keep in mind, and share with everyone else is:

The mega high performance rubber on the ZL1 is worthless at cold temperatures. The rubber becomes hard as a rock, like a hockey puck. When you buy a new Viper, everyone and their mother warns you about driving it in cold weather. A ZL1 owner will have to speak as to what temperature things start to go to poop. But, please take this seriously.

Living in west palm beach, fl tends to lull you into a false sense of security. A beautiful day at about 46 degrees almost got me as well, fortunately it was early morning and I didn't look like to much of an ass.

The old school in me says turn the wheel, stay in it, and drive through it. All thats good untill the nannies take over and toss you all over the place.
It took me a little while to learn how to drive "modern" muscle.

I saw that happen at a Saleen event when a young lady who was driving her Marine boyfriend's Mustang 5.0 (while he was away mind you) did the same exact thing but went right up the curb and into the bushes. No my ride was not that spectacular. It was a two lane downhill on ramp. I'm in lane 2 (right lane) and spun the car into a 180 into lane 1 (left lane) and kissed the curb. Turned it around and drove it home normally. No reports to fill out either!

I had a very similar on ramp experience at about 50 mph shifting from 2 - 3, except I only made it about 60 degrees before I straightened it out. My brother was along from the ride and he went completely pale. You don't know the car's/your limit until you break the limit once or twice.
