Entered my car in a local show just to be with some friends, and they gave me a trophy.

ill probably piss you off and other but that's bullshit . Why should you win , you have a brand new car . I don't see how it fair to others . And Ive been a car show judge before and for a new car to win a trophy it has to be highly modified .
Good for you for winning but shame on the judge or judges. Does anyone else feel this way on here?

I agree with you, the only mods I had were insignificate compared to some others, they had many catagories, and gave away alot of trofies. Mine was 3rd place, forgot which catagory. But I guess the look of the ZL1 is a winner in my book as well alot of others.

Bet if u get a display sign made listing the car features, most of the old timers wont know that the car came that way and credit u for making mods!

That's quite a trophy, especially for 3rd place. Once you start to mod you might have to build a trophy room onto your house. :-)

Congrats on your trophy! We entered our 2012 ZL1 in a number of shows in 2012 and now 2013. The car has won something in every show, mostly 1st place. It has also won several people's choice awards. The only modification is a custom paint job. The shows are usually catagorized and our car is in modern cars. There is nothing wrong with winning, don't let anyone discourage you. One of the keys is to keep the car VERY clean, that is one of the main point getters. Congrats again and keep going and have fun!

Zl1 looks so much better then a regular ss and destroys a v6 in terms of looks. It should be automatically given 1st for being a bad ass! haha

Just saw your responses . I'm glad i didn't get my head chewed off ,and im glad you guys understand . I even feel funny taking my 99 formula to shows. I didn't feel bad with my 85 trans am but the 99 still seems new.
