TT Kit + Suspension or Gforce IRS upgrade?

I'm in quite a debate....

I"m definitely getting either the TT kit AGP or IPS here within the next 2 months, heads sent to Richard at WCCH, LS7 lifters while I'm at it, melling oil HV oil pump, and rx monster can, ect... I track this car every weekend in my current config.

I got funds for this and 1 other option. The other option being the following:

Pfadt Stage 1 ZL Spec suspension
http://www.pfadtracing.com/catalog/p...roducts_id/191

Pfadt Coilovers + extra drag springs
http://www.pfadtracing.com/catalog/p...roducts_id/175

and go back to my stock gears and save up for the Gforce 9 inch.

OR

GForce 9'' IRS system one is aw at 6600 ish... I'm going to call them in a few days and get the low down on all the products available for my application. Gear ratio I'm still trying to figure out a good ratio for my application. I think this way will get me out of gear hop completely and rest assured my whole rear end is safe.

After I get both of those above installed, I'll be going forged internals. A lot of paths to go, just looking for some insight on the most cost effective ways to go. Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Tim

If you are always tracking the car you may want to invest in something a bit stronger whether or not the DSS or GForce 9" units, or another IRS rear option.

Gear ratios can be worked on depending on what type of racing you are doing, tire sizes, etc. If you are consistently at the track, a near stock gear ratio may work especially if you are using 28" diameter tires. I run most of the FI cars between 3.55-3.70 ratios in the 9" but depends on tires you are running, 1/4 vs. 1/8, etc.

Suspension is definitely needed. You cannot just slap a sticky tire on these cars and make it go straight/and not spin. The basics I usually do are; Pfadt Rear Arm Package (You may want to go with adjustable toe rods instead if you track it that much), Pfadt Lower Control Arm Bushings, Pfadt Adj Sway Bars, then you can go into packages like the coilovers, upper control arm bushings, etc.

Weld 17's with Hoosier 28.0/10.0-17

and 1/4 mile only. I was thinking near original as well. I need to also make sure I end up at the top of the gear instead of shifting near the end of the track.

I will look at those individual parts first Matt. That's good info! I always knew suspension was the most useful. I've seen a stock camaro with lowering kit only get .5 second off of the stock time I used to get. So with that I can only imagine at my current power levels what times I'll be getting.

Usually with any FI we use stock or near stock gears as I had said. With the 9" you can go into the 3.55's or 3.70's tops, I would not go above that. That is a decent tire setup, now put some suspension under it and it'll be hooking nice. Also what are you doing for clutch?
