ZL1 Not MEANT TO BE FOR ME

Well after all this time waiting for the ZL1 SIM with an auto trans I found out today I will not be getting it. It was shipped to OKC and it arrived either thursday night or friday of last week. Friday night the tornado's hit OKC and from what I understand it got the crap beat out of it from the softball size hail they had there. Now,I have ordered and have recieved about a thousand bucks worth of parts for the car and do not need them unless I order a 2014 model. I do not care for the tail lights on the new camaro so I am up in the air what to do. If I cannot find one like I ordered I will need to sell all of this stuff. What do you all think, should I try to find a 13 model even if it is a different color or go with the the 14 model and order another one like I want? I am really ticked now because if they would not have held it so long for the quality check at the factory it would have been delivered before the storms hit there. Anyway, what should I do?

That sucks bro. I'm sure if you get GM involved being that the QC check is what screwed you they can do a national search and find something to your liking. There has to be something out there.

Honestly I am not a huge fan of the tail lights but that wouldn't stop me from getting the zl1 its an awesome ride.. That said there IS something on the 2014's I hate and that's the big chunk of rearend that is poorly integrated to the car around the license plate. Its a square hole and looks terrible to me (having stood next to it and seen it closely in person). That said if you are getting black or a dark color you cant see it as bad.

If I were you depending on what my objectives were with the car (sweet ride to weekend warrior, or serious track racing). I will probably get yelled at here but if I didn't have a choice for a '13 zl1 I would think about the new stingray.

The new stingray in that new electric blue with tinted windows would be extremely hot.

Keep in mind I struggled with that same choice and I LOVE my car LOVE LOVE LOVE it but i gotta give that stingray props at least on looks.

Tell me what you got so I can try to convince you to sell them to me if there's anything I want.

Just kidding... or not... Very sorry to hear about your situation. Maybe find a good deal on a 13 or leftover 12 or something since the 14's will be around soon enough.

What were the exact specs on the '13 that you ordered? Maybe someone could locate your cars twin at another dealer.

In my opinion I'd just get the '14. The front is still the same, and the taillights aren't as bad as people here make them out to be. I think most of the people who "hate" the rear do so mainly because it's different than the car they already own, and therefore like "theirs" better. I don't think the hatred exists from people who don't already own a Camaro.

Not to mention that a '13 will be considered a year old in just a few months... a 14 will be a "new" Camaro much longer, and will be worth more later on if/when you trade.

Dude, like 2 weeks ago it was stated that there were nearly 2000 '13 ZL1's on lots somewhere in the country, use the inventory search on the Chevy website, do different zip codes from all the different cities til you find the one you want. I bet it's out there

That is a good idea! I ordered a SIM,auto, bright wheels{not the black ones} carbon fiber insert on the hood, NO HOLE IN THE ROOF,and no fiber swede inside. If anyone knows where one is please let me know PDQ!!! Thanks

The no hole in roof is an issue, whole lot of them have it, and the no micro fiber suede, well I think most of them have it. But I didn't really think I'd care for the micro fiber either, but I like it now, real comfortable on the steering wheel

Talk to Becky @ Rodgers Chevrolet. She has sold cars to many many members here including me. Can't beat the service and I am sure if its out there she can get it to you.
