Solo with J pipe Axle Back Questions
Hey guys, just decided i was gonna go with the solo axle back with j pipe exhaust system. Few questions. Is this axle back system itself a full axle back system, or just the j pipes? meaning, will this replace my stock mufflers? Is this system pretty much a muffler delete with J pipes? Does it have drone? Any information is greatly appreciated but pretty much my biggest question is if i buy the axle back solo with j pipe system, is that all i need to have a better soundiing v8 with less drone than other systems

The picture shows exactly what you get. It deletes the muffler and adds the j pipes.
I have the full solo Mach xl (l99) catback and I love it. I'd recommend doing the whole catback. The exhaust from the catback is solid. You will have to cut the exhaust just right to attach an axle back.

You may have to "tune" or adjust the j pipe ends to get the drone out, but I didnt. Just know that this system does not make the exhaust louder at idle, or under 2k rpm really. When you stomp on it, it will open up and you will hear it, but dont expect it to be loud. Cutting off the mufflers doesnt even really make it louder, as the stock resonator is still in place |
