DIY heat shield

So I'm making my own heat shield for my intake and came across this

I think it's a pretty good idea as opposed to working with sheet metal.

I didn't buy aftermarket. I cut up a stock one.

Just to clear things up, he made his own intake system by modifying the stock Air intake, so now he's gonna make a heat shield for it.
