I recently purchased a 2013 1Ls and almost immediately noticed that shifting from 1st to 2nd gear is dreadful. I'm looking to replace the transmission fluid quickly as to not cause to much damage to the transmission. I know the v6 m6 needs 75w-90 gear oil but is there a certain brand I should use. Also I'm looking to buy IdealG's master cylinder and was wondering if anyone else has and what kind of installation price I'm looking at. I'm brand new to camaro5 and would greatly appreciate any help. Thanks

The ideal setup runs about $265 plus another $100 in install costs.

There are countless threads on both manual transmissions having shifting issues from 1st to 2nd. Have a look at the transmission sub forum. You'll find that you're not alone.

Good reports/results posted about switching the fluid to GM Synchromesh.

Welcome to the club, change the fluid and after you get some miles of it it will improve a bit. I used schaeffers in mine.

no matter what, there will always be some of this, fluid, master and clutch resovoir will help. until someone comes out with a tremec swap. Only holds 2 qts of fluid.
