Hey guys. I encountered something scary today while driving my camaro. Long story short, I was making a u-turn and suddenly my steering wheel got stuck and it seemed like everything in the car was dead. I heard a click and boom my handle got stuck. I couldn't reverse, drive or anything. So I was blocking all 2 lanes (luckily it was a residential area). I was clueless on what happened. Oh and my key was stuck. After a few struggle to take out my key, I managed to take the key out and turned on the engine....
What happened guys? Camaro is new btw... if that helps. Thanks.

You didn't accidentally hit the key and shut the car off and lock the steering wheel in a bind did you?

to be honest I have no idea. It happened all so fast. All I remember is that I was in the progress of making a u-turn, then suddenly I heard a click and everything got locked. My key wouldn't come out. The car was off, so I kinda played with the steering wheel and the key and finally was released..

That's what sounds like happened to me, do you have a manual or automatic?

After it died did you put it into park to restart it? Probably you couldn't get the key out because it was just in the off and not locked position, you probably put the transmission in park or neutral which then allowed you to restart the engine. Just guessing it was all a accidental shutoff.
