Conversion?

As you are referring to the motor, there is a board for the engine and drivetrain: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=11

Why are you doing an LS3 conversion? I see nothing in your sig or post that shows anything that would require a conversion. You can tune out the AFM or keep the range device. Unless your not listing your complete plans, your shop is screwing you. No need to do a conversion for simple bolt on mods. Plus, there are very powerful VVT cams out now, so you still don't have to do a conversion.

If you replace the lifters, the heads have to come off. My understanding is that if you do the conversion, you must run a conventional non VVT cam or you will have misfires. I would PM "Rhino79" and discuss your plans/desires with him. He is the VVT guru on here and can give you excellent information on where you want to go and how to get there. He is located in Cabot AR which I don't think would be to far from you.
