V6 Auto Flare up
I have had this happen twice to me where I am accelerating hard and it seems to miss a shift or something and the engine revs. I back off and then it comes back. Anyone experience this?

Not sure I understand what your saying. Does it hit the rev limiter or anything? Does it get knocked out of gear?

If it is hesitating, like if you gun it and it the RPMs jump up it may just be the car downshifting.

It seems like it misses a gear to me. Like it wants to redline. I usually pop it in neutral and then into D again and then its gone.

I have had it happen 3 times (7500 miles on the car). There was one time I put it in neutral and was coasting for a while and catching up to slower traffic. 80 down to 65mph can take a while downhill. When I caught back up, I put it back in gear and the dam thing rams the redline before it shifts...

I kind of had something like this. I will be driving normally and I can tell when it is going to shift and it feels like it is getting taken out of the gear I was in, reving, then going to the next gear all within a second. I think it sounds kind of cool but its not reving all the way to redline either. Just kind of a throttle blip.

Not at all actually... that would suck lol
For example you go to pass someone and it drops down a gear and as you are passing and accelerating it feels like it is going to shift but then revs as if i tossed it into neutral and you loose power to the drive train. Ill toss it into M or N and then back to D and its fine.

Apologies to read about the vehicle concern. I'm sure that is displeasing for you. If there's any way I can assist, feel free to send me a PM and reference this thread. I can also look up any recalls possibly related to this occurrence. Kind regards, William R. Chevrolet Customer Care

Mine does something like that when in Sport mode. I was in 2nd, downshifted to first and revs went bonkers, then back to normal. (No, I wasn't going too fast, something like 10 mph.) Hasn't done it since

Yea i dont feel any difference afterwards. I dont hear any grinding or anything... im wondering if it just misses a gear sometimes or pops out of gear. Not sure what to do as I can not recreate it on command.

May be fourth gear hold feature. 4 (Fourth) Gear Hold (V6 Engine) If, during highway driving, you wish to pass another vehicle, but then change your mind (quickly pushing the accelerator pedal all the way to the floor and then immediately releasing the pedal), the transmission will shift to a lower gear and then upshift to 4 (Fourth). This leaves the transmission prepared with increased responsiveness for additional driver input. The passing maneuver can then be resumed from 4 (Fourth) gear, or 4 (Fourth) gear hold can be canceled by lightly pressing on the accelerator pedal.
