tell him youve talked to HUNDREDS of camaro owners on this board and none of them paid to have them installed so if he's charging to have them installed then he's the only one in the country doing so. If you want to get mean about it tell him point blank that you KNOW he's trying to squeeze more money out of you and you want to talk to his General manager. If he tries to balk again tell him you dont want the stripes then. You can buy them aftermarket and put them on yourself for less than what the dealer is going to charge you.

Personally I would avoid everything and just tell him nevermind about the stripes and get them somewhere else.

well you can buy them for less than 400. and if you install them youself thats it, but i am going to go to the Chevy dealership and get their stripe guy to put mine on for about 100 or so. I am getting bumblebee stripes though so I have to go aftermarket. I just have to make sure I get the right person to put them on and hope theyll do it for 100 or so. That will put me at about 500 which is 30 more than factory, BUT i won't have to finance that 500 so it will be less over time.

Not installed they cost $365
Installed $470
for $105 dollars more it's better to get them installed by dealer,
they would be covered under warranty also

yea i dont know about you guys but the labor rate in the greater seattle area is about110 bucks and hour, and you want gm to pay 105 bucks to put your stripes on?i dont agree with it but let me tell you from being a tech,if the job pays 2.5hrs and your being paid .9hrs your gonna go find the young clean-up boy to do it,im worth every penny im paid,my dealer cant find anyone around to install the stripes so i told him give me the stripes and the money and ill get the difference.i would rather have a guy who is thrilled to work on my graphix then one who is thinking about how much hes losing on the job
